The Prospectors Car Club was started in Quesnel in 1997 to promote interest in cars. We are passionate about muscle cars, customs, classics, hot rods, street rods, motorbikes and trucks big and small. From a charter membership of 6, the club has grown to about 75 members today. Vehicle ownership is not a prerequisite for membership, you only need a love for cars to be welcome.
The club hosts and attends numerous events throughout the year from club meetings, Friday night cruises, a Die-Cast party, member get togethers, as well as hosting "The Gold Pan Steak Out" which is held in August annually. A portion of all proceeds are donated to multiple local charities every year. Members of the club also congregate to travel to car shows in other cities representing the Prospectors Car Club.
Quesnel is a community of some 25,000 people, located in Northern British Columbia in the historic Cariboo region. Quesnel is referred to as the Gold Pan City, a reference to the Gold Rush days of the 1860s when Quesnel was the gateway to the Cariboo Goldfields of Wells, Barkerville, Likely, and Quesnelle Forks. Our city is 450 miles north of Vancouver, on Hwy 97 N.
The club meets every second Tuesday of the month to discuss club events and matters.
